OVERVIEW:

TaraNova's Imperialakes townhouses are located in Meadow Oaks, which is a group of condominiums surrounding a heated outdoor swimming pool and playing field. Each condominium consists of a large living room and dining area, a modern Hollywood-type kitchen (fully equipped with every appliance and cookware), two bedrooms (one 3 piece bathroom ensuite, a second bath off the hall), a washer/dryer and a color TV (cable). Meadow Oaks is across the road from the Imperial Lakes Country Club.  All units are non-smoking and no pets are allowed.

(Note: Across the street is a County Club - The Golf Club is now a public course. They reserve the right to accommodate or decline guests. At the present time, guests may utilize the Club for a fee but this may be discontinued at any time without notice. (Suitable attire and regulation wear on golf course).

HOW TO GET THERE:

The easiest and quickest way is to fly into Tampa International Airport. (Orlando International is busier and further). Then rent an automobile - the rates are reasonable. There are no taxis or public transportation available at Imperial Lakes. Because of its central location our resort is an ideal base to which to return each evening after your day of fun or relaxation.

FROM TAMPA: Take Inerstate 275 (I-275) North about 5 miles to Inerstate (I-4). Go EAST toward Orlando. Get off I-4 at EXIT 27, Route 570, Toll road (about 20 miles). Exit off at Florida Ave. (Rte 37). Turn SOUTH (right). Follow the direction to Shepherd Road as follows:

Go South 4 miles to Shepherd Road: Turn right (West) on Shepherd Rd. Go past the traffic light at the railroad crossing.  Turn left onto Imperial Lakes Blvd., (first road to the left) turn right into the south end of the Imperial Lakes Realty building parking lot.  The name of our office is AUGUST IMPERIAL .

FROM ORLAND0: Take the "Beeline Expressway" (Highway 528, a toll road) west to Interstate 4 (I-4). Travel west about 30 miles to exit 41, route 570 (a toll road). Travel south on route 570 about 17 miles to Florida Avenue ($3.00 tolls) Turn SOUTH (left). Go South 4 miles to Shepherd Road. Follow the directions from Shepherd Road as above.

The office hours are as follows: Monday 8:30am-5:00pm. Tuesday 9:00am-5:00pm. Wednesday Closed.Thursday and Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. Saturday 12:00noon - 5:00pm. Sunday Closed.

The city publishes a booklet on local activities and maps are readily available. Polk County not only hosts one of the largest contingents of snow birds but also a large American tourist population as well.

OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCES:

Central Florida is the gateway to more experiences than any other place on Earth. There are a great number of pamphlets available so we will simply list a few of the outstanding places to visit.

  1. Busch Gardens: One of the nations outstanding zoos featuring over 3,000 animals, rides and shows with the special feature of Africa re-created for you (8 miles North East of Tampa) (Phone 813-987-5082)
  2. Orlando Complex:
    Each year Disney and others make this fascinating place more adventuresome and loaded with fun. The Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Discovery Island and the Studio Tours are sufficient attractions in themselves.
  3. Cypress Gardens:
    Features 223 acres of botanical gardens, a world famous water skiing show. Other features include: The Animal Forest, the Southern Belle and Kodak's Island in the Sky - a rotating ride (Phone 813-324-2111)
  4. Sea World:
    An outstanding show and demonstrations include "Shark Encounter" (10 minutes North of Walt Disney Complex). You could spend a day here. (Phone 1-800-432-2153)
  5. Kennedy Space Center:

  6. Other Tourist Attractions:
    Jai-alai is a favorite (Near Orlando airport) Little known is the Frank Lloyd Wright College buildings. Ask the club office for directions. The Church Street Station features top-name country stars (downtown Orlando)
